A new blue hole discovered off the coast of Mexico 

With a maximum depth of 270 meters, the underwater cavern in Chetumal Bay (east coast of the Yucatan Peninsula) has become the second deepest blue hole known to date. First explored in 2021, the site, now known as Taam Ja', is home to an astonishing biodiversity, and is arousing the curiosity of the scientific community.
