L'Océan exhibits in Marseille on the forecourt of the St Charles train station

From September 1, 2021, the Ocean invites itself to Marseille for the IUCN World Conservation Congress.

Through a series of never-before-seen, large-format photographs, photographer Alexis Rosenfeld sheds light on some of France's most beautiful maritime areas, both onshore and offshore.

IUCN World Conservation Congress

Organized every four years, the IUCN World Conservation Congress brings together thousands of representatives from governments, public agencies, NGOs, the scientific world, local authorities, local communities, businesses and the general public. For the first time, it will be held in Marseille from September 3 to 11, 2021. To accompany this event, the Marseilles exhibition "1 Ocean, le grand témoignage sur l'Océan", takes a special look at French waters, from mainland France to the French Overseas Territories. The images on display bear witness to the teeming, fascinating life that inhabits this ocean, and the urgent need to act to preserve it.

SNCF Gares & Connexions

The SNCF Group places social and environmental commitments at the heart of its "Tous SNCF" corporate project, deployed by each of its companies (SNCF Réseau, SNCF Voyageurs, SNCF Gares & Connexions and Fret SNCF). It is working on all fronts to make the most of material resources through circular economy initiatives, to increase the share of renewable energies in its energy mix, and to reduce consumption, by integrating environmental issues right from the project design stage. Faced with the urgency of climate change, the SNCF Group intends to contribute to achieving international and national objectives: the Paris Agreement, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, France's National Low-Carbon Strategy.

SNCF Gares & Connexions aims to be the green station specialist, with nearly 6 billion euros of investment planned over the period 2021-2025 and strategic priorities such as reducing its energy footprint, increasing use of renewable energies and photovoltaics, waste recovery, rolling out bicycle parking and eco-design of stations.
